The encounter with space and with the subject / object body that is located within space is, as one today understands them, now outdated. Space must be thought again, as it no longer fulfills the requirements of our time.

We already live in a society, so it seems, which has distanced itself from the old models of thinking. Our society is already building itself a different reality, a parallel existence. A reality in which gender, age, identity lose their materiality and their existing dimensions, and physical forces become irrelevant.

A reality in which spatial distances, typological boundaries, and the borders of the possible are easily overcome or are completely disappearing. That awakens the impression that what we have here is an ideal state, a place with no rules or societal impositions. One could consider it as being a sort of protest, an extension or filling in the gap of what we are missing, to rethink and define anew what is space, what is the body, and where these environments are deficient in satisfying our needs.

Yet the question is raised whether one can transpose one reality into the other, and what consequences this has for space and for the body as we know them. What restrictions will be imposed upon space and the body, and from what can they be liberated? What influence does an architectural space have? (which is finally what justifies its right to exist as a space). Can we then still speak of a space, which stands at the root of a hierarchy of functions? Or does it overcome everything in order to become something else? Does it become something else that has no function, order or control, and which contradicts all these social and statutory requirements? Would we therefore speak of an autonomous space which has the ability to act freely? Or much more, speak of an anarchy of spaces?

The aim of the project was not to create a space which would be distinguished by its static structural design, functionality or durability, but rather and much more, to create an abstract architectonic concept of a space not inspired by images of existing spaces. A space which reacts directly to external causes, which is not controllable through its performativity, allowing the unforeseeable, which is what ultimately transforms. What significantly changes the planned unfolding of events in order to allow something that is truly new to emerge, a new direction by which borders will be transposed

"Moving and Space forming Objects" (the Perfomativity of the Space) as architectonic space concept which is interpreted artistically, trying to overcome the contradiction between ambiguity and precision. The concept comes to realization through a specific link, inspired by existing literary texts such as "Fatal Strategies" or "The Singular Objects of Architecture" by Jean Baudrillard, "Thousand Plateaus" by Deleuze and Guattari, or "Technics and Time" by Bernard Stiegler.

The text as a constructive and creative element becomes effective, with the associated constraints and consequences upon it, as it manifests itself through the design process. That does not mean, however, that the space resulting from it is automatically special. This space has to be found and generated.

In the first phase of development, different methods and materials will be used in a designing and experimental way on not yet given, but rather first to be manufactured aesthetic objects, manifesting themselves in a modal 1:1 form accompanied by a field study.

By adding an empirical approach, it becomes possible to collect information and transfer it into the research. Here, the site forms in which the field study not only takes place as the field of research, but rather at the same time as the exhibition space itself, the space in which the space is to be built.

It is clear that the objects, although they, at first glance, come across freely and organically, include one of the most important elements out of which the space consists, namely their static quality which ultimately is only a snapshot of a movement that has been prepared in the past.

Phase Two:

Input all of the findings into a computer program, making new insights possible by simulation within the system, as new information which can then be transferred with a leap in scale to the physical space. In that way, it is possible to become aware of possible parameters which, prior to a certain point, move in a different scale. It has as consequence that a space is conceived with no order or control, which is not visible during the simulation. A space which, through its disobedient performativity, does not lend itself to re-encryption, opposes itself to readability, with borders permanently displaced.
